The award is a joint effort by the Food Industry Research and Development Institute (FIRDI), Industrial Development Bureau (IDB), and food associations in Taiwan.

The "海宴 Premium Seafood" products are made using locally sourced seafood or specialty ingredients, and their production process must be certified by at least one of the following standards: CAS, HACCP, TQF, TAP, or ISO 22000. These products are rigorously selected by experts who evaluate the complete value chain, including the quality of ingredients, packaging design, market channels, economic benefits, and culinary excellence. Such products not only showcase the refined and high-quality brand image of Taiwan's seafood, creating high added value and increasing fishermen’s income, but also meet consumers' demand for safe seafood. Furthermore, they lead the development of Taiwan's seafood processing technology towards refinement, innovation, and creativity. Through comprehensive integrated marketing, these products aim to deepen their presence in the domestic market and expand internationally, contributing to the sustainable development of the fishing industry.
